Cloudy Day is a song performed by Saku Otonomiya in Episode 1.

History

It was originally composed by Sosuke Kagura and written by Uta Outa with the intent that only Vocaloids were capable of singing it. However after witnessing Saku sing it perfectly, he decided that he was the right candidate to join the singing club.

Lyrics

Toki wa nagareru
Kyou wa owatte iku
Itsu no mani ka
Kokoro ga oite ikare soo
Cloudy Day

Akiramete ita
Tsumuida kotoba mo
Sora ni kiete iku nda
Dou sure ba ii no?

Boku no koe wo
Uta ni nosetai nda
Itsu ka kitto
Kanau hazu darou

Shining Through the Clouds
Doko made mo tsuzuite iku
Yume no kakera
Hiroiatsumete iku

Kodoku sae mo
Kibou ni kaete ii nda
Sasayaku koe ga
Boku wo michibiita kara

Tsugi e no ippo wo
Tsuyoku fumidashite iku
Monogatari no hajimari

utsumukikagen no
boku ja ii rarenai
miageta sora hirogaru
mirai mitai dane

tsumekomu no ji

Shining Through the Clouds
Doko made mo tsuzuite iku
Yume no kakera

Tsuyoku fumidashite iku
Monogatari no hajimari

We quickly lose track of time.
Another today slipping by,
And it's much too late before we realize,
That it's our hearts we've left behind
Cloudy day~~

The words that we give up on,
And all of the words we have spun
And now disappearing into the sky,
What'll we do when all is done?

Upon a song I soar
It maybe only in my dreams now
But someday I know it will turn it into something more,

Shining through the clouds
Forever it flies eternally,
And we are left picking up the broken pieces of our dream
Let's take this loneliness and turn it into a spark of hope

Something is calling me,
A whisper that chose the right way to go
Just like a song, guiding me on
To take a step that leads me ahead
And that is where our story will begin

Behind the Scenes

In real life, it is a cover of the same song by Hatsune Miku. Both Gakuto Kajiwara and Brandon McInnis perform the song as Saku in their respective languages. The lyrics for the English version were jointly adapted by Funimation and Amanda Lee.
